High-Protein Soup Recipes
Chicken, turkey, tofu and beef soups with at least 20 g estimated protein per serving. Detailed ingredients, cooking times, storage advice and US/metric measures.
Choose a soup by its main protein
Chicken and turkey soups use meat, while tofu and edamame offer a meat-free option. Beef soups usually need a longer simmer. Check broth and sauce ingredients if you need a vegetarian dish.
Read the simmering time, not just the prep time
Quick preparation does not mean a quick soup. Tougher meat needs time to become tender; noodles and delicate vegetables go in later. Each recipe gives the order, liquid quantity and a practical doneness cue.
Store soup in smaller portions
Follow the individual recipe storage instructions and refrigerate promptly in shallow containers. Grain and noodle soups thicken in the fridge; add a little water or broth when reheating. Optional added broth changes sodium and other nutrition estimates.
